Somenath Kundu is a renowned Bengali makeup artist. He has worked for many celebrities and has made them ready for their characters for the films like Wanted (2010), Buno Haansh (2014), Gumnaami (2019), Durgo Rahasya (2023), Khela Jawkhon (2022), Bismillah (2022), Aparajito (2022), and many other films. He has more than 20 films from the Bengali industry, where he has worked in the makeup department.
Somenath Kundu is the most sought-after makeup artist who can use prosthetics better and make celebrities ready for their best look for the film. He has been working as a chief makeup artist in the film industry since 2000 but has struggled since 1994. He received a green card in 1996. The best makeup he did for any film included the makeup of Prasenjit Chatterjee for the movie Aay Kuku Aaye.
