Mohammad Mosaddak Ali is a Bangladeshi politician and an entrepreneur. He is also known as Phalu. He was born on April 7, 1960. Mohammad Mosaddak Ali’s place of birth is Dhaka, East Pakistan, Pakistan. He took his early education from Don Junior High School and Shahjahanpur Railway Colony High School. He took his Bachelor of Arts Degree (BA) with Honours in Humanities from the University of Dhaka in 1980. His father, Alhaj Abdul Mannan, was a social worker & businessman, while her mother, Ramon Bibi, was a homemaker. He is the youngest of the six siblings. He married Mahbuba Sultana, with whom he has a daughter named Roza Ali.

Mohammad Mosaddak Ali entered politics in 1979. In the 1980s, he took an active role in the anti-autocracy movement. From 1991 to 1996, he was the private secretary to Begum Khaleda Zia, a Prime Minister. He was appointed as political secretary of the BNP Chairperson from 1996 to 2001. In 2004, Mohammad Mosaddak Ali resigned to contest a by-election in Dhaka. Later, he was declared a vice president by the BNP central committee. Mohammad Mosaddak Ali won the election, nominated by BNP as its candidate for Dhaka-10 by-polls. On July 3, 2004, he took an oath as Member of Parliament. He instantly became active in parliament as an MP. He was also allowed to contest the Dhaka-10 constituency for the 2004 by-election.

Mohammad Mosaddak Ali initiated his business in the mid-1980s and established Brotherhood Enterprise Limited. He is now the chairman of MAH Securities Ltd, his own securities company, and a member of the Dhaka stock exchange. His subsequent investments are joint ventures with Chinese investors for manufacturing ceramics, healthcare consumer products manufacturing companies, and steel fabrication manufacturing companies. He has been the chairman of Dhaka-Shanghai Ceramics Limited since Jan 2004. Also, he is the chairman of The Cox Today Limited, Roza Industrial Park Ltd., Roza Properties Ltd., and Roza Agro Ltd. He is the director at Star Porcelain Ltd., Ashlaoy Housing & Development Ltd., S.m Aabashon Ltd., Rakeen Development Co. (Bd) Ltd., and Union Insurance Company Ltd.

In 2003, he was the chairman & managing director at NTV (International Television Channel Ltd.), a Bengali language channel. He launched its operation in the United States of America (2004), Canada (2005), the United Kingdom & Europe (2010), and the United Arab Emirates (2014). In December 2005, he launched his second Bengali satellite & cable television channel, RTV. Also, he started publishing Amar Desh, a daily newspaper in Bangladesh, in 2004. He works as the founder chairman of AmarDesh.

Mohammad Mosaddak Ali is a member of the Dhaka Club, Kurmitola Golf Club, Uttara Club, All Community Club, Baridhara Cosmopolitan Club, National Press Club (Bangladesh), and Dhaka Boat Club. As president of Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited, he worked for 23 years. As an author, he wrote seven books, including Sohoj Hajj Niyomaboli (2002), Unnoyone Bangladesh (2005), Al Quran-er Drishtite Manobjibon (2008), Al-Lulu Wal Marjan (2012), and many more.
