Idris Haider is a Bangladeshi film director, screenwriter, producer, and actor. He was born on November 19, 1964. Idris Haider’s place of birth is Nawabganj Upazila, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He was raised in an aristocratic family. His mother’s name is Jamila Khatun while his father’s name is Yunus Haider. He got interested in literature by writing poetry from the young age. In 1972, he began acting on stage as a child artist at the age of nine. He emerged as a talented cultured person during his school life. In the eighties, he rose as a drama director through “Spain Bijoyee Musa,” while studying in the eighth standard. Also, he earned a reputation for singing practice, sports, and scout troupe leaders. He has been portraying role as an advisor of Asian TV. Also, he has been the chairman of record label company Wow Play TV. Idris Haider marked his film debut as an actor and assistant director in 1975.

Also, he worked as a chief assistant to several talented directors including dubbing during this time. In the 1990s, he went to the United States for practicing drama in theatres. In association with the South Florida Association, more than a hundred-stage plays were conducted to preserve the heritage of Bengali culture while practicing. From his early career in television industry, he is well-known for making drama series. In 2008, he written & directed a television movie “My Valentine,” aired on Channel 1 (Bangladesh) and Zee TV. Also, he portrayed the character of Azad’s friend as guest artist in the TV movie. In 2020, he directed & screenplay the television special “Jomoj Jamai,” aired on Maasranga Television. In the same year, he directed another television movie “Khato Jamai,” released on Wow Play TV & Red Films Entertainment, where he played the role of Prima’s father. In the following year, he written & directed a television movie “Khato Jamai 2.”

His another television films include O MA, Chondro Bindu aired on Eukshey TV, Thakur Da aired on Bangladesh Television, Abong Humayra Begum & Golap Kotha aired on Banglavision, Shopner Sohor, and many more. In 2021, he written & directed a Television drama series “Syed Barir Bou,” aired on ATN Bangla, which was the first and most famous drama serial. In the drama, he played the role of helping hand of Ahsan’s father. His other drama serial includes Nire Nirbashon, Rupnogorer Koinna, Mia Bari, Amader Shangshar, and many more. He also directed the films such as Nil Foring, Kabliwala, Ami Tomay Valobashi, and Amar Shonar Bangla.
