Super Comedy is a Tamil television show that compiles funny clips from Tamil films. This type of show follows the same template as that of the musical show in that it also takes or edit out various clips from popular Tamil films and then air it. The only difference is in the type of content as in musical shows airs only songs from films, shows like Super Comedy airs funny clips from films. Also, these types of shows don’t generally have hosts as the channel itself works as a hoist by introducing the names associated with various clips or cutouts that they air. These shows became popular on television because all channels need something to fill in the slots between two shows and since these types of shows require little attention span, people watch them. Shows like Super Comedy are a great marketing strategy for channels to hold the attention of viewers and prevent them from changing channels.
