Vanjam The Vendetta is a Tamil language TV serial that aired on the channel Mediacorp Vasantham, a Singaporean-Tamil TV channel, from Monday to Thursday at 10:30 pm for half an hour in the year 2012. When translated, Vanjam means revenge. This is a revenge story that falls more under the category ‘dramatic thriller’ as it also contains a lot of family drama. The serial is about a man named Ramalingam, who is successful in life. He has everything a common man would ask for, a wife, two beautiful daughters, a job where every single person respects him, and a reputation that cannot easily be smeared.
For someone who believes that no bad can happen in the world, he did not expect to be on the receiving end of bad with his loved ones on the opposite side. All it takes is a split second for a person or their life to fall apart. That is what is the case of Ramalingam. It took one night and one unfortunate incident to ruin everything he has worked so hard to build in his life. He learned the lesson that trust shouldn’t be handed to people in a hard way. Even though no relationship can last without trust, putting it in the right place is more important.
