It revolves around Chanakya, who sees the potential in Chandragupta to be the future ruler of Magadh and India. Also, Chanakya begins training Maurya to save the people from the culprit Lord Dhana Nanda. 

For achieving all this, Chandragupta Maurya sacrifices almost everything, including friends and family. Also, he used to practice hard for being the best of the emperor of Magadh.

Chanakya Sapatham is a Tamil serial that is a remake of Chandragupta Maurya. It telecasted on 10th March; 2021 on Polimer Tv. This serial is a dubbed version. The story of the serial begins with a boy named Chandragupta, who is a teenager. He is a slave. Chanakya, a scholar, and Taxshahila Brahmin find the boy. He sees in the boy the talent to become the future king. Chandragupta was the crown prince of Piplivan, which was destroyed by the ruler Dhana Nanda. Dhana Nanda, seeing the talent and skills of Chandragupta, appoints him as a bodyguard to his sister Durdhara. Gradually Durdhara develops a liking towards Chandragupta.

On the other hand, Chandragupta forms a small army with the help of the people of Piplivan and the king of Janapada Assaka. They discover the dark secret about Dhana Nanda and how he killed his father to sit on the throne. Due to the betrayal of Vajrabahu, Chandragupta was forced to flee Magadha. But he manages to reveal the secret to Durdhara. Durdhara is disgusted by this news. To prove to Durdhara that Dhana Nanda is a worthy successor, he conquers all the Mahajanapadas. Only the last Janapada, i.e., Taxshila, the trickiest of them all, is left. Chandragupta and Chanakya returns and fight a battle with Dhana Nanda. After a series of confrontations, Dhana Nanda was finally killed.

Chandra and Durdhara get married. Durdhara gives birth to a son named Bindusara. Chandragupta manages to eradicate the whole clan of Nanda and establishes himself as the first emperor of the Maurya Kingdom.
