Koteeswari is married to Dasarathan, and they have three daughters. Being a middle-class woman, she dreams to get her children married off to a wealthy household. Koteeswari’s daughters are Mahalakshmi, Aishwarya, and Prabha. Mahalakshmi is an artist who can paint well and is interested in decoration works. Aishwarya is greedy, and Prabha, the little one, is a tomboy. The Vedachalam family has three grandsons. The elder grandson, Surya, is a responsible person, and accompanies his family elders in running the family business. Surya’s cousin, Gautam, is the second grandson of the house, and he is a playboy. Vijay, the third grandson of Vedhachalam, is a poet. Mahalakshmi and Surya’s meeting was not smooth, and she developed some hatred. In a situation Surya’s marriage was fixed with Aishwarya. But, she doesn’t want to get married to Surya, and stays with Gautam. As she skips the wedding, Mahalakshmi marries Surya. However, Surya’s mother doesn’t like this marriage and decides to separate them. What happens next? The rest of the story follows the lives of Koteeswari and Dasarathan’s daughters and Vedachalam’s grandsons and families.
