Agnihotris also worshiped Lord Ganesha.

Nowadays, this age-old tradition has become irrelevant to the modern generation. Agnihotri children have found new ways of earning money and scattered. This series deals with the three generations of a family of Agnihotras, in which one of them is eager to know about their roots. Neel, the son of Chintamani Agnihotra, is very much interested in his family tradition, history, and culture. He had always wanted to solve the mysteries created by his grandfather. Whatever happens after that became the theme of this fantastic serial. All the actors and actresses have done a marvelous job playing their characters.

Another version of the Serial...

Long ago, the Agnihotri family held sway in society- safeguarding the sacred ritual of Agnihotra or the fire. This ritual was significant in yester years when the act of generating fire was complicated than it is today. Alongside this significant work, the Agnihotris worship Lord Ganesh, which makes them more spiritual at the community level. The Agnihotra fire was said to represent purity, devotion, and a direct connection between humanity and the divine, and the position of an Agnihotri came to be considered very honorable. Time elapsed, though, and the world that they lived in was no longer the same. With all the new technology and ways of living, their place in life came to be secondary, almost hardly worth mentioning in the importance of running daily life. People found far more efficient ways to manage life, and rituals that once defined whole families started to disappear.

Family members of the Agnihotri, like most other people, scatter to places and take up jobs in another totally alien setting by the orders of the new world order. The sacred responsibility of maintaining the Agnihotra fire was lost in the sands of time and forgotten to the extent that all that could be recalled now was a vague notion that, previously, this family did serve a mystical purpose. Neel, however, was different. He was the son of Chintamani Agnihotra, but this boy didn't have the same kind of opinion towards these family traditions. Others had long deserted them, but Neel found himself curious to try the forgotten ceremonies of his family. He could not stop from the past unless he really understood it. He followed his curiosities when he reached his granddad, Appa, who had already died, but carried secrets to his grave related to the Agnihotra. His motivation now was to seek out the legacy that his grandfather had kept closed for so long.

Neel tilled out some hidden stories and rituals covered with sands of time while trying to reconnect with the roots of his family. He discovered these were not merely dead customs, but a living string that tied him to his former generations and the knowledge they carried in their hearts. Neel's relentless efforts rekindled the Agnihotra flame, not only literally but metaphorically as well. His experience had really jolted the consciousness of his family that collectively they did not want to forget their collective heritage however fast the movement of this world may be. Neel's Revival of Agnihotra developed into a symbol of resilience for him and his family as the revival called the minds of his family into the value of heritage preservation.
