Aastad Kale is an Indian Film and TV actor, popular amongst the audience for his roles in projects like Nirop, Damleya Babachi Kahani, and
Marathi. Mostly involved in the Marathi industry, he used to work as a theatre artist before eventually moving on to feature on the silver screen.
Born on 16th May 1983 to businessman Pramod Kale and Sunita Kale, Aastad was raised in Pune. As a kid, he went to Maharashtra Mandal’s Seth Dagaduram Katariya English Medium High School, Pune. After graduating from Fergusson College, Pune, he shifted to Mumbai to focus on his acting career. In Mumbai, Aastad got his first major breakthrough as a theatre-artist through the Marathi play Lagna Kallol, directed by Paresh Mokahshi.
Consequently, he featured in TV shows like Puudhcha Paul, Oon Paus, Asambhav, and several other Marathi plays like Kahe Kabir and Proposal. Apart from his acting skills, Aastad is also famous for his singing skills.
He started learning classical music when he was just four years old and continued for at least 15 years. In 2018, Aastad appeared in Viacom 18’s reality TV show Bigg Boss as a contestant, the franchise’s first season in Marathi. The 36-year-old wants to establish himself in Bollywood, just like his idol did.
