Aranee Sundari is a dubbed version of the Tamil series Yaradi Nee Mohini that was aired on Zee Tamil. Aranee Sundari is a Malayalam soap opera series aired on Zee Keralam. It has a total of 877 episodes and each of 20 minutes duration. The story revolves around the lives of Mutharasan and Vennila. Mutharasan is a wealthy and kind-hearted person. He tends to help everyone in his town. He lost his mother at a younger age, and his father remarries Neelambari. Initially, Mutharasan is married to Chithra, but later, she dies in the hands of Neelambari and she framed it as a natural death. Mutharasan is fond of his step-mother and respects her. Meanwhile, Neelambari fakes her love for Muthuarasan because she is interested in his properties, and he has no clues about this.

Meanwhile, his nephew Vennila has a crush on him and wanted to marry him. He also likes Vennila because of her innocence, and she cares much for him. Neelambari wants him to get married to Swetha, her nephew, so that she can effortlessly loot away his property. Mutharasan's dead wife’s spirit protects him from all the devious plans of his step-mother and her nephew, but somehow, Neelambari finds out about the spirit of his deceased wife and traps her with the help of some priests. Mutharasan also adopts a girl named Rudra but doesn’t know that she is his daughter born to his first wife. Rudra knows the truth from her grandmother, but she doesn’t reveal it to her father. Neelambari fixes the marriage for Swetha and Mutharasan. Even though he loves Vennila, he does not oppose his step-mother’s decision. Their marriage stops due to different obstacles. Swetha also kills a few people who try to stop their wedding. As days passed by, Muthuarasan has strong feelings over Vennila, and Swetha tries to kill Vennila, but the plan always fails. Finally, after overcoming a trail of hurdles, Vennila marries Mutharasan.
