Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 is a renowned singing reality competition show, which started airing on May 4, 2007 until October 13, 2007. This is the second part of the singing competition show, SA Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge and also the fourth public voting contest from the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Series. Sequentially, it is preceded by the children singing competition show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs but analytically, it is followed by the reality series, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 show features the previous mentors including music director and TV producer, and music composer, . In Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007, two more mentors were added to the series including music director and performer, and the music directing duo, and . The previous host, Shantanu Mukherjee or popularly known as Shaan was replaced by Bollywood actor, . The show was broadcasted on Zee TV. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 was directed by Gyan Sahay.

The new Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 logo is substantially different from the logo of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2005. This time, the globe appears to be wearing a headphone to signify the show as an international competition, as a replacement to the previous logo that represents a duet singing. The July 21, 2007 episode received the highest television ratings in India, which features the appearance of the legendary actor, based on the Television Audience Measurement. The grand finale of the show also collected a total of 10,61,44,354 or 106 million voting records around the world.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 has the Gharana selection that is used similar to the House System that is used in schools. The participants were selected by the mentors. In the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005, the gharanas have been replaced. The contestants under Bappi Lahiri include Reecha Tripaathi who got eliminated on June 23; who got eliminated on June 23; Koyal Chaterjee who got eliminated on May 12; Sikandar Ali who got eliminated on June 16; who got eliminated on August 3; who stand out among the rest but got eliminated on September 7 and who got eliminated on September 21.

Every week, two from the Eklavya Gharana were selected to join the mentor’s gharana and later, that mentor will have any of his contestants eliminated in the preceding week.
