Mauli Dave is a singer and television host who gained popularity as one of the top 7 contestants in Zee TV India’s ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge’ in the year 2007. She was born to parents Hemant Dave and Dipti Dave on 3rd June in 1987 in the city of Ahmedabad in Gujarat. Young Mauli, when she was just about ten months old, had started to sing even before she could talk. Her grandparents both were scholars in the field of music.

In the year 1990, when she was almost three years old, her family moved to the United States and settled in Houston, Texas. In her young age, Mauli was trained in various arts including Odissi, Kuchipudi, Bharatnatyam, Classical Hindustani Music, etc., all when she was still in her teens. Mauli pursued graphic designing till high school and later graduated in Graphics Communication from the University of Houston. In 2003, Mauli decided to participate in ‘Boogie Woogie Chalo America’ a television show from Sony Entertainment and was in the finals.

In the year 2007, Mauli was encouraged to take part in ‘Miss Teen India Texas’ pageant by her mother and was eventually crowned victor. Later that year, Mauli auditioned to represent the USA in Zee TV’s 2007 edition of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge’ and was selected and was an instant hit. She was the favourite and was a youth sensation. Manjeera Ganguly, was born in 'Kolkata' on 4th December, 1985. In spite of being a great student, she always wanted to be a singer and pursue her career in music. She started learning Indian Classical music at the age of 5. She was one of the prominent contestants in, ‘Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005’ on the ‘Zee TV’ in the ‘Gharana’ of ‘Jatin-Lalit’ though she was not crowned as the winner, she showed great potential and talent .She completed her graduation in ‘Communicative English’ from “Kolkata University” with ‘First Class’ and then he shifted to Mumbai in 2008, to live her dreams of becoming a singer . There she started learning Western Music (vocals) which helped her in adapting to the ‘au courant’ of singing and merging it with Indian Classical music. She gave the Indian audience a new set of music, which was really appreciated and brought her fame. Her skillfulness and hard work paid off as the “All India Champion” in FM singing reality show 'Rock with Sonu Nigam' presented by ‘Big 92.7 FM’ in 2008 and did live concerts with Sonu Nigam in different cities of India. She was one of the finalists from Eastern region in the First Indian Idol. She was also a part of Zee Bangla’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Tara Bangla's ‘Eto Noi Shudhu Gaan’ and Musically Yours. Ustad Mazhar Ali Khan is associated with North Indian style of Indian classical and semi-classical music since his early days. He has borrowed a musical legacy of his generation as his grandfather, father and uncle were all Indian classical singers and legendary singers of Ghazals and Bhajans, folk or semi-classical or light classical styles for decades. Singer Ustad Mazhar Ali Khan found inspiration from his grandfather, Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, the doyen of Hindustani classical music. Ustad Mazhar Ali Khan and his brother Ustad Jawaad Ali Khan were top grade artists in Doordarshan and All India Radio. They also had performed in Canada, Europe, and other countries too. He has an insatiable thirst for Indian classical music and has practiced through different genres of music in his career. Both the grandsons of Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan had been instrumental in forming an institution in the name of his grandfather later on. They established ’Bade Ghulam Ali Khan music Foundation of India’ which helps to teach the art and technique of singing of Hindustani classical music. He spent his childhood in metropolitan cities of India. He got graduated from the IIT in electrical engineering in Madras. There, he developed a growing interest in the silver screen.
