Each episode had a runtime of around 30 minutes. They used this show to promote the government schemes introduced for the upliftment of rural life and rural India as a whole. This show addressed many social issues prevailing during those times in rural India. It promoted the need for locally made products, environment consciousness, widow remarriage, employment of youth, etc. Ujale Ki Or was an excellent medium to educate the public about the progress made and needed in society.
