Neha Desai is an India Television actress from a Gujarati businessman family. She made her debut in TV serial acting form the serial Grihasthi on Star Plus during 2008-09. the serial was produced by Sunjoy Wadhwa and Comall Wadhwa and directed by Mohit Husssain and . It was the story of the family of Balraj Khurana whose death forces the female members of the family to become more independent and perform their roles in the outside world dominated by males. Neha portrayed the role of Soni Khurana, the younger daughter of Balraj who has to face the wrath of the antagonist and fight it out within the family and outside. Her performance in the serial was appreciated highly and she earned a good name as an actor with this serial.

Next she was seen in very popular serial of Rajshree Productions 'Woh Rehne Waali Mahlon Ki' which continued on Sahara One channel for more than five years. She portrayed the role of Payal in the serial and was lauded for her extremely good performance in the serial. She was also seen in the serial '' telecast on Star One in a small but challenging role and her performance was well taken by the audiences.

After this serial, she took a break from acting and went traveling with her father helping him in his business. During the break from acting, she wrote a book of poetry by the name of “Sweet Kiss Sour Kiss” which received a very good response from the readers. She wants to convert these poems into songs and proposes to come out with an album of her won songs. She has a flair for writing and before starting her career as an actor, she worked as a free lance columnist and has written for some well known publications.

She is very much interested in negative roles and wants to do some negative roles if offered. She holds a bachelors Degree in Banking and Insurance.
