Santaan is based on a real life story. It highlights the conflict between the parents and their children to uphold the family values and morals. The story presents us with a couple -Parikshit Dixit and his wife Gayatri, who fight every day to keep the family close, happy and bonded. Their three children - Suhana, Kartik, and Shubh, are different in behavior and character.
The Dixit family struggles every day, making compromises along the way to ensure their children’s needs and to secure a good future. Due to the generation gap, conflicts arise between them, with the parents trying to make sense of their kids’ dreams and desires.
The development of the mother- daughter as well as the father-son relationship has what kept the audience coming back for more.
