Shaadi 3 crore ki was a marital reality show which was aired on Imagine Tv and sponsored by Lotus Herbals. It was launched with an aim to bring to life a fairy-tale Indian wedding to reality. The makers of the show went around looking for a middle-class couple who were slated to get married soon, providing them with an opportunity to have a never-before kind dream wedding. At a time when a basic middle-class wedding would cost nothing more than 8-10 lakhs, the channel and the makers of the show organized a wedding for the chosen coupld costing a whooping 3 crores, consisting off an elaborate, bollywood style masala wedding.

aka Ishu with Jasmeet Kaur Gaba aka Sheenu. Each ritual and custom, all the drama that is part of a Punjabi Indian wedding, music dance, etc. were telecasted live on Television. The show was hosted by

Ishu and Sheenu had planned to have what they call a simple Love-cum-Arranged marriage which the channel converted into a fairy-tale wedding. The show took the audiences from the entire journey of the couple, starting from their Roka or engagement to the Bachelors party to the ‘Bidai’ or the bride’s farewell. It featured various celebrities such as
Rakhi Sawant
,
Rahul Mahajan
and other actors from the Imagine Tv family playing guest roles.
The show had very beautifully captured the budding love between the couple who had met just a few days before the wedding. It had captured all the emotions of coy, shy bride to her anxiousness and nervousness for the day, etc. So much was the drama that they even captured the minute detiails of the elaborate gifting, gossiping and the never ending wants and requests of the groom’s family. The also shed light on the importance and beauty of each rasam/custom of the Punjabi wedding with explaination for the audiences’ understanding.
The show premeired on 28th February, 2011 with the introduction and ended with the grand wedding on 27th March, 2011. It was telecasted from Monday-Friday, 9 pm.
