Maulana Abul Kalam Azad was a visionary advocate for education reform and a well-known leader in India's independence movement. The story starts with a 10-year-old Maulana Azad. He was a very bright boy and too smart for his age. As his father was a Muslim scholar, Maulana Azad was homeschooled. He had an honest approach to life and could differentiate between wrong and right. Maulana Azad demonstrated exceptional intellectual ability and a strong commitment to social justice from an early age. He used to give lectures to his friends about his views on British slavery and their occupancy. He started his journalistic endeavors when he was just 12 years old.

Growing up in a deeply religious family, Azad was educated according to Islamic customs, gaining proficiency in Arabic, Persian, and Urdu. However, his interest in learning went beyond studies of religion. His extensive reading of history, science, and philosophy literature shaped his outlook on life and inspired a lifelong love of learning. In his youth, he embarked on his journey towards becoming involved in India's independence movement. Azad joined revolutionary organizations that promoted the abolition of British colonization. Azad became well-known as a leader of the Indian National Congress after World War I. He played a role during the Khilafat Movement and the Non-Cooperation Movement, which inspired millions of Indians to rebel against British rule,

Azad became the Indian National Congress's youngest president when he was appointed in 1923. He promoted minority rights and Hindu-Muslim unity during his whole term. After India's independence in 1947, Azad was appointed as the first Minister of Education. In addition to overseeing the formation of the Central Advisory Board of Education, he brought about several reforms that increased educational opportunities, modernized curricula and promoted literacy among all Indians, irrespective of caste, creed, or gender. His legacy continues to serve as a tribute to the strength of wisdom, cooperation, and courage in the face of difficulty.
