Hum Ladkiyan – Maayke Se Sasural Tak is a renowned Hindi drama television series which was aired on Sony TV channel. The show was premiered on October 13, 2008 and ends on May 21, 2009 completing a total of 128 episodes. It was produced by under the banner of Emotion Pictures and directed by Manish Singhania and Arvind Babbal.

The story was shot in Benaras, the blessed city of India. It focuses on the life of four bubbly and cheerful ladies namely, Sapna (played by ), the daughter of Sushma (played by ) and Satyaprakash Chaturvedi who loves to dress up; Pooja (played by ), an innocent girl who lost her parents and was adopted by Satyaprakash; Alka (played by and later replaces by ), an obedient but low on confidence daughter of the Thakurs and an amazing singer and Ajju (played by ), the simple and youngest daughter of Kanhaiua Jaiswal (played by ) and Rama (played by ) who is very optimistic.

The story uncovers their friendship and ambitions, in spite of residing in a small city. The four extremely enjoys every minute of their lives as they usually walk in Ganges River, eat gol guppas in a small lane together or chat on their terrace. The four is looking forward to attending college since they find life different and away from their secluded homes. They discover life and realize everything about the real world, but they are still holding on to themselves as they venture on their new found lives, until the time for inevitably marriage comes. Everybody is unknown to what life has to offer to the four young women; not even their own families who cannot imagine how life would be without their four priceless daughters.

Sapna will meet Rahul (played by ), the brother of Alka who pursue his studies in America and will fall in love with her, while Pooja will meet Aalap (played by ), who is also an adopted on Ajju’s family. Yuvrav Goel (played by ) is a businessman who bought the property of Ajju’s family and eventually falls for her, while Alka was believed to be married to Aalap. Various twists and turns happen along their way that will test their friendship and love for each other. Hum Ladkiyan is an uplifting story that touches the heart of many viewers.
