It is an American-British crime drama grounded on the writting's of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s, which was one of a classic at that time, Sherlock Holmes. The series is about Sherlock who is a psychopath and with his ability to notice small things and implausible mind, he has become a “consultant detective”.

The series revolve around him and how extraordinarily he solves crimes in his area. He is united by Doctor John Watson, who is a retired army doctor, who suffers from anxiety in the first series which he later on discovers is not because he has returned from the war, and had seen enough bloodshed, but because his life revolves around it and he misses the excitement. John Watson is sherlock’s roommate in 21B baker’s street. In the end of the first series, the taxi driver Sherlock caught as a serial killer reveals a name “Moriarty” before death, perplexing Sherlock to his core. In the second season, his lab assistant Molly Hooper introduces Sherlock to her boyfriend Jim.

Which Sherlock declares as gay and mocks Molly. Later on, he discovers that Jim is Jim “Moriarty” who is also a psychopath, and considers himself as “consultant criminal”. Moriarty plots many different crimes and asks Sherlock to solve them in a given period of time with people’s life at stake. The crimes including the first crime Sherlock stepped on in his life, which set him in the direction to grow into a detective. In the end of the third and final episode of the series, he asks Sherlock to jump off a building and die or else he will kill the 3 most precious friends of his, Watson, his landlady and his other detective friend. He is left with no choice as no matter what; if the shooters standing nearby won’t see Sherlock jump and die they will pull the trigger on to his friends. Spoiler alert: he tries to kill Jim Moriarty so as to get out of the situation, but Moriarty explains that won’t do any good to Sherlock and shoots himself.

Now Sherlock has to decide, he dies or his friends. The other main character of the series is Irene Adler famously known as “The Woman”, who is a dominatrix and has some objectionable (nude) photos of the royalty and Sherlock is given the job to yield photos from her, which she apparently rejected, and justifies herself by telling him that is just for her safety, and she won’t use it ever. He finds that Irene has locked her phone, which Sherlock managed to take away from her, and he has only 4 chances to guess the password right or the chemicals in her cell will destroy the whole information in it.

Sherlock got romantically attached to her during the series but she denied telling Watson that she has an interest in girls, but later on Sherlock proves to her that she is wrong, and also likes Sherlock back, as he guessed the password is S-H-E-R making the whole phrase “I AM S-H-E-R LOCKED”. He proved his love for her when he saved her in Pakistan and let her escape.
