Housefull revolves around the lives of two neighbors, both named Ikramul Haq. Other than the name, the duo has nothing in common. One is an architect, and the other is a developer. Architect Ikramul Haq is an environmentalist, while builder Ikramul Haq doesn't hesitate to cut down trees. His eldest daughter Shimu is a civil engineering student. His younger daughter Mithila is a physics student, while his younger son Mishu is an urban man studying at a private university. His wife, Mithu, a very aggressive but caring character, also lives in his house. His wife’s brother, Ifty, lives in the house and also in the same room as Ikramul Haq's brother himself, called Sumon.

He is a nice person but can be very irritating at times, and he tends to tease Sumon, who has a worrying weight problem. It's the whole family of the architect Ikramul Haq, and they live very happily together. The Ikramul Haq is unmarried, as he clings to the memories of a woman, Sharmeen, whom he loved and lost. He lives with one of his nephews, and his name is Siddique. Siddique is a cheerful person who always has a smile and loves his uncle very much. Another character is Hasan, who is madly in love with his girlfriend Faria and plans to marry her, and they both agree. The only obstacle in their marriage is Faria's gangster brother, who is totally against any man seeing his sister until her marriage.
