Subarnalata is a Bengali drama series that was aired on the Channel Zee Bangla in 2010. The series was based on the Ashapoorna Devi, the second part of the book trilogy. It premiered at 6 P.M. from 2010 later time was shifted to 8:30 P.M. During COVID-19, the series was shut down by the director. But at the request of the audience, it was re-telecasted. Subarnalata shows the life of Subarno who is progressive led in the household by her mother, Satyabati. She was enrolled in Bethune School which taught her the deep knowledge, respect and love for the motherland and freedom fighters who fought against Britishers. She was underage and married into an orthodox family at the age of 9.
