The serial consisted of 112 episodes in total with the story focusing on Kadambadi Basu Thakur, his grandson Prasun Basu Thakur, and Tanaya Sanyal, who is portrayed as Prasun’s love interest.

Despite appearing like any other family from outside, this family is trapped in a fatal web of betrayal, conspiracies, reincarnation and unforgivable crimes such as murder. Prasun and Tanaya manage to remember their previous lives and it makes the whole situation even more complicated than before.
