Kudumbam is a Tamil Television Serial in which the narrator tried to narrate the viewers about the value and role of Money and working of women of India of Middle-class society. The serial was revolved around the three families of a locality of Chennai, who were facing different problems and comparing themselves with others. These families were the members of a middle-class society of around 1980s. First family’s member are government servants, and they enjoy the source income from the double side and their main problem is they had to work for long hours, and that’s the reason they sent their beautiful little girl to boarding school.

The members of the second family were not rich as them. One is an agent, and other is the homemaker and that job was not much profitable, and they were facing the problem of scarcity of money. Third family members are also facing the problem of scarcity of money because wife was a cook who used to cook various items and this was the only source of income and husband used to roam the city without any tension of his family. This whole serial revolved around the ups and downs of their life.
