. Menaka Krishnaswamy produced the serial and it is directed by Haider Ali. Ganesh is the assistant director. Alaipayuthey theme music is  composed by "Shabir." Saravanan and Sri Venkata Ragavan edited the serial. The serial is about a family; the husband's name is Ratnam, wife's name is Malar, and they have three children Haresh, Hashwini, and Akshara. The story revolves around their family problem. "Hashwini" fell in love with Brandon. Malar didn't give her consent for their marriage and hence Hashwini married Brandon without her mother's presence.
Meanwhile, Malar's husband, Ratnam, found his ex-girlfriend. Ratnam came to know that she is working at a University. He met her. Haresh marries his cousin Kamini by his parent's decision, but later, he fell in love with Shalini. Akshara faces problems in her University due to her college mate, and she found that she had a brain tumor. The Serial Alaipayuthey will show how all the characters deal with their problems.
