Athiyaayam is a Singaporean Tamil television soap opera. The show is a workplace drama which means that the plot of the show revolves around a corporate setting and the corporate world plays a pivot role in the plot of the show. The story follows the corporate world in big cities and shows all the politics that goes into making one’s own business strong. The Kalaivanans are a family of three brothers. They have settled their business but want to make it huge and multiply their profits. Their father is a very able and talented person and he always thinks four steps ahead. It is because of him that their business has been able to sustain through many difficulties. But since he is getting old, he wants all his sons to take over the business and make it huge.
But the brothers don’t get along all too well because of people who are always instigating them against one another. The brothers are as different in their characters as three people could be. Their interests are also different. The show follows the brothers as they try to get along because of their father and run the company while also expanding it. The show depicts the diplomacy required for a business to grow and the brotherly bond that slowly develops between the three brothers.
