Guilty Minds is a courtroom rivalry show, with each episode bringing a new case like artificial intelligence, sexual assault, water shortages, or plagiarism, and how such cases impact the lives of the people involved and their lawyers. Deepak Rana works for Khanna Khanna and Associates, a well-known law firm for the rich, while Kashaf, along with her friend, runs a law centre to take up the cases of the poor. Outside the court, Deepak admires Kashaf, and the fact is known to everyone besides them. Deepak is an outsider at Khanna and Khanna Associates. Shubhrat Khanna and his sister, Shubhangi Khanna, are also part of the family law firm. Shubhrat tries to throw out the outsider, as he does not consider Deepak to be deserving of the glory.

Deepak and Kashaf’s family backgrounds: Deepak is always supported by his best friend, Kitu Bhalla, from Jabalpur (a small town in Kashmir). Kittu’s father, Tejinder Bhalla, is a major client for the Khanna and Khanna associates. Deepak’s own family lives in their hometown, far from the drama. Kashaf’s father is a respected judge of the Supreme Court of Justice, Delhi. The show later reveals that he might be involved in a heinous crime. Kashaf is also hiding a dark truth. The series depicts the grey area, where one gets to think morally to decide what is right or wrong. Through the series, we get a glimpse of our legal system.
