Dwarkadheesh – Bhagwaan Shree Krishna is a mythological and drama series based on the grown-up life of the Hindu Goddess, Krishna. The series was premiered on July 4, 2011 until April 2002 from Imagine TV channel. The show aims to present Prince Krishna (played by Vishal Karwal) as a fearless lover, a great tactician, a perfect member of the family and a king. Famous composer Ravindra Jain arranged the theme song and the initial episodes sound track, sung by the Indian singer, Anup Jalota. Then, he was replaced by the Bawra Brothers ( Sunny Bawra and Inder Bawra). Dwarkadhesk is under the production of Sagar Pictures who are famous for making devotional TV series.

The show focuses on the voyages of Lord Krishna, being the prince of Dwarka in India, and his relationships with Balram, his brother (played by Hemant Chadha), Revati, his sister-in-law(played by Gauri Harmit Kaur) and Rukmini, his wife to be(played by Priya Bathija). The direction of Dwarkadheesh – Bhagwaan Shree Krishna was to provide moral lessons to the believer of Krishna by his life experience; however, the script profoundly missed some details and the sequential order of the events with the Hindu doctrines.
