Taran Killam fits like a glove in the role of Will Cooper, a 30-something father with a daughter. Angie D'Amato and Poppy Banks are single mothers with each having a son. Douglas Fogerty has a twin-daughters, Emma and  Amy Fogerty, and an adult son. He never leaves his daughter idle by always giving him some work.

The series begins when Will, a divorcee, meets a group that teaches him parenting is not about sacrificing himself. Yes, Will had sacrificed his whole life for his daughters.
