The Double Teasers, Trailers & Video Songs
The Double is a dark comedy thriller starring Jesse Eisenberg and Mia Wasikowska. The story’s basis is from the novel ‘The Double’ by Fyodor Dostoyevsky. The film has a twisted sense of humor and almost a psychological thriller feel to it. The plot of the story centers around Simon James, played by Eisenberg, as he slowly falls into sanity caused by his doppel ganger, James Simon.
The trailer is a teaser for the movie. It follows Simon walking along a dark walkway to the soundtrack of the song ‘Grinnin’’ and with clips of the various characters grinning and smiling. There are even snippets of the doppel ganger shown having fun with people he’s too shy around. Later we see both of them walking side by side. Even here we can see the differences between them in their gait and the way they carry themselves.
The movie, though not widely launched, has a high review with praise to Eisenberg for the performance of two compelling and captivating roles. The film is not for the ones seeking an effortless and light entertainment; it is a story that will keep you thinking even after the roll of the end credits.
