Shankara is one film that has been delayed for release. Now it has hit the screens finally; let’s see how it has turned out to be.

Nara Rohith is a carefree guy who stays in a hostel and is studying. As the movie progresses there is a problem between Nara Rohith and baddie ACP John Vijay. What happens next? What does John Vijay do to tarnish the image of Nara Rohith? Watch the movie Shankara to find out.

Star Performances

Nara Rohith has a meaty role and gives a great performance. He is at ease with expressing the emotions and gives a natural performance. Regina Cassandra does a great job in her role which doesn’t bank heavily on glamor. John Vijay is also convincing as the baddie.

The director of the film, Thathineni Satya Prakash, commences the film in a promising note but the film only works in bits and pieces.

Shankara is the remake of the Tamil hit Mouna Guru. While it reached the Kannada audiences as Guru, it reached the Hindi audiences as Akira.

What’s there?

  • The emotional plot of Shankara is one of its forte.
  • The twist at the end of Shankara has been executed well.
  • The chemistry between Nara Rohith and Regina Cassandra is good.
  • The action sequences are executed in a commendable manner.

What’s not there?

  • The cinematography could have been better.
  • More care could be taken on BGM and music.
  • The scenes could have been executed well.
  • More concentration could have been given to the production values.
  • Editing is not up to the mark.

The film has a good premise and good performance by the lead star. Though Shankara is a remade flick it can work in Telugu too since it has the necessary elements. The movie will go well with the youngsters.
