Star performance
Nagarjuna, as Kishtayya, plays the lead role in the movie. With his versatile acting skills, Naga did complete justice to his character, except in some of the action and dance scenes. The director is more focused on Naga's character than any other character.
Ashika Ranganadh as Varalakshmi, looked beautiful. Ashika, as a lover, did a phenomenal job. She portrayed all the emotions beautifully. Raj Tarun has a little screen space, but he utilizes his screen space very well.
Shabbir, as Dasu looks mind- blowing. His looks seems to compliment his role as a villain. Other supporting actors also did a great job and looked like the perfect choice for their characters.
Analysis
“Naa Saami Ranga” is the remake of Malayalam film “Porinju Mariam Jose.”
The movie shows the culture of South Indian villages beautifully, the first half of the movie runs a bit slow and revolves around the three days Sankranti festival of the village.
The second half of the movie feels exciting because of the twists and turns.
Talking about direction, this is the debut film of Vijay Binni and his work as a first time director is impressive.
Music of the movie is disappointing, it could be better but cinematography of the movie is excellent, the movie has rich visuals.
The star cast of the film did their job very well and were successful in adding life to the characters of the story.
