Plot
An investigative journalist by profession, Gautam is a smart youngster. His marriage is fixed with Megha and he is getting ready for his wedding. Meanwhile, Gautham gets a weird dream quite often and it is about a girl named Aadhya. In his dream, he sees Aadhya beaten up by someone. Shocked Gautam wakes up. This happened when he stayed in a resort in room number 118. He hadn’t met Aadhya before. After a few months, he had another dream about the same girl, who had gone missing. Even this time, he stayed in the same room. So, Gautam wants to investigate about Aadhya. He speaks about his dreams to his fiancé and his friend. Who is Aadhya? What is the connection between her and Gautam? Did they find anything about her? Is she alive? Watch the film in theaters!
Star Performance
Kalyan Ram has done justice to his role. His expressions are wonderful and his body language is perfect for the character. Nivetha… this girl is a wonderful performer and she is very choosy in her career, so far. Her performance is awesome. Although Shalini has nothing big to do, she did her part well.
Analysis
Guhan has scripted the story neatly and penned an engaging screenplay. The cast selection is perfect and all the stars fit well in the given roles. The thrilling elements are perfect and it impresses the audiences. But, the flashback portion of Nivetha is a bit slow and also it doesn’t have anything new. When the lead roles are detailed well, a couple of roles miss the clarity. The songs are good and the BGM is excellent. The production and technical values are perfect.

Verdict
Overall, 118 is a good thriller film. The director unties the suspense knots one by one interestingly and impresses the audiences. 118 is definitely a big breakthrough in Kalyan’s career. So, this week, we have got a good film to watch with family!
