Plot
Divya is coping with the loss of her husband Ashraf. However, before she can get back on track, her daughter goes missing. Divya is forced to do things that she once dreaded, until her paths cross with that of a psychopathic killer. Will she manage to get her daughter back?
Star Performances
Anandhi and RK Suresh are the only two good things to remember about this entire movie.
They tried their level best to make up for the mess created by the makers through their earnest performances.
Analysis
There are films that completely justify their title. There are films that use the title as a cover to convey a deeper message. Then come films like ‘White Rose’.
The very first question that will be asked by the audience to the makers would be: What was the need for this film. If the aim was to make a compelling, terrifying psychological thriller, the makers have done a bad job at it. For the editing, the lesser said, the better.
The movie begins on an interesting note, but goes off track within half an hour. The problem with this movie is not the lack of a proper story, but attempting to stuff too many plots into a short timeframe. Despite the movie being less than 2 hours long, you don’t feel connected with the movie at any place.
The movie claims to be an engaging crime thriller, but the execution is far from it. In some places, the twists can be seen from miles away, and in other places, some sequences test the patience of the viewers. The role of RK Suresh is not unimpressive, but his character was not given the due space.
However, he tries to make up for the messy writing by a strong performance. Anandhi as the troubled widow Divya packs a punch with her solid performance. The camerawork was also decent enough for the movie of this scale. If only the screenplay was equally supportive.

Verdict
‘White Rose’ is a botched attempt at making a crisp, chilling crime thriller. The basic ideas were impressive, and they were backed up by strong acting performances from both Anandhi and RK Suresh. If only the script was equally impressive and phenomenal.
