Plot

Muthupandi is a Tahsildar. He is married and has 4 kids. Muthupandi is responsible for the death of his wife and knowing this, his son, Viruman, doesn’t want to live with his father. He wants to kill the person who made his mother die. What is Thaenu’s role in this revenge story? What happened to Muthupandi and Viruman? Did they settle? The rest of the film deals with it.

Star Performance

Karthi sports a look that partially resembles Komban and partially Paruthiveeran. He is natural with his performance. Aditi Shankar is good in her debut. Rajkiran, Prakash Raj, and Soori did what is required for their roles. The rest of the stars did justice to the given characters.

Analysis

The story is not fresh, and we have seen these kinds of plots in various perceptions. The writing is not solid, and that’s where the film lacks its grip. Muthaiah has molded the story as per the situation, and hence the mindset of the characters is changing frequently. The action scenes are shot well, and Karthi is good in his body language. Though the stars for the main characters are picked well and given importance, the writing spoiled everything. Yuvan’s music is decent, and the cinematography by Selvakumar is good.

Verdict

The film has all the entertainment elements required by the fans, including comedy, action, sentiment, and romance. If the writing had been better, Viruman would have reached well.
