Plot
The senior cop, Periyasamy, is about to retire. As it is the election time, the politician, Mansoor Ali Khan, who has a gun, surrenders it to Periyasamy. It is shocking for Periyasamy that the gun surrendered to him is missing. Pugazh, the trainee cop, is given the job of finding the missing gun. Kanagu, a gangster, who is involved in stealing the election funds, suspects Periyasamy of playing a double game with his brother. Will Pugazh find out the missing gun?
Star Performance
Lal proved his worth again by delivering an excellent performance. Tharshan is impressive in his cop role. Ramdoss’ comedy worked out to an extent. Sujith is okay in the underdeveloped role.
Analysis
The plot is simple, yet neat. The main drawback is the lack of nuance. The characters’ communication is not proper. One of the plus points is not adding any unnecessary romantic tracks. A few characters, including Sujith Shankar, are not developed well. Hence, his performance didn’t get highlighted much. To add some commercial elements to the script, the makers sacrificed the logic. Although the film travels to various places, it comes back to the retiring cop, who is the centre of the emotional content. As the comedy, too, worked out, it didn’t bore the audience.
