Ponge Ezhu Manohara is the second heroic movie of Irfan, the Vijay TV fame. Irfan and Singam Puli are friends who care for nothing and enjoy their life. Irfan is a milk vendor and a theatre artist. Singam Puli is the drama troupe owner, who wants a great success in his life through his dramas; but the efforts taken by him did not bring him success. They try out seriously; but all their efforts end up in failure, due to some accidents that are caused unintentionally.
Irfan tries his best to steady himself as a romantic hero. The scenes with Singam Puli are really funny and this duo did the scenes perfectly. Humorous expressions come naturally in Irfan’s face and he has a good future. As he has already gained a good experience in the Vijay TV’s drama Kana Kanum Kalangal, he is well versed with all sorts of expressions including romance, anger, humor and seriousness. He has two love stories in this film and the climax of the movie is entirely different than the expectation of the people.
The viewers feel that the film is very light on the go with romance and humor; and at the end, it heavies the heart. If the director have thought that serious ending might make the people to look back his story. But his idea is absolutely wrong. The audiences like the happy ending for the film, which mainly deals with the romance.
As the story is not designed in a right way, the beautiful, expressive performance by the young Irfan is left unnoticed by the audience, as they feel that this climax is not suitable for the story.
Anyhow, it is a good try by Ramesh Rangasamy and the team. We can expect a better story selection by Irfan in the near future. Ponge Ezhi Manohara… Irfan fans get a good treat!
