Mookaiah is the most respectable person in their village. He is a do-gooder of the village. Mookaiah has three children. The youngest is Muthuramalingam, who excels in Silambam. Mookaiah is proficient in Silambam and has been training the martial art to few students at his home. When they are about to participate in a competition, some gundas are hurdling them. After a mess, some people get injured. When cops ask Mookaiah to surrender, he denies doing so. In the scuffle, Mookaiah is being insulted and the angry Muthuramalingam cut off the cop’s hand. Gautham Karthik has tried his best. However, his body language didn’t suit for the role. Napoleon and Viji have done justice to their roles. Vivek, Rekha, FEFSI Vijayan… Why are they brought into this film? These talented artists have no work in the film.
Rajadurai, the director, should have kept some impressive sequences instead of grinding the same thing that has been done for decades in the village subject. Father and son scenes seem to be the repetition of some old flicks.
What’s Not There?
Muthuramalingam is not an exciting story, as they projected. This is yet another normal village entertainer with stereotyped father and son sentiment. If you don’t have any other film choice, this week, you could give a try!
