Plot

Pakkiri is the President of the Farmers’ Association in Peruvayal village. Vanangamudi wants to grab the land to set up a bio-diesel plant. Pakkiri is against this. Vanangamudi is close to the higher-level authorities in the police and politics. How Pakkiri and his men protect their land from the greedy businessman forms the rest of the story.

Star Performance

All the stars have done their part well. Vijay Sethupathi has got good potential, and it is shocking to see him doing a simple role. Jagapati Babu has done a similar role for the umpteenth time. Shruti is okayish. Kalai and Dhansika didn’t have much importance. They are a part of the cast, and that’s the simple role for them.

Analysis

It is tough to believe that this is from the director of Iyarkai, Peranmai, and Purambokku Engira Podhuvudamai. The script is not a different one like that of his previous films. Usual farmer and powerful villain clash is the major plot. As usual, this move is a preachy one, although it carries a good message. However, the film is technically good. Yaazha song is melodious and impressive too. Thanks to Imman and Shruti.

Verdict

Although the film carries some message, it is a bit preachy. It doesn’t seems to have been directed by SP Jananathan. Yet, if you are a fan of Vijay Sethupathi, you can watch this film for his different getup and joining Shruti Haasan.
