Plot

Anbu is the only daughter of the widower, Sivam. She is getting ready to move abroad for her nursing course. She works in a fast-food shop as a part-time worker. She is in love with Charles but didn’t reveal it to her dad. When Sivam finds it out, she goes missing. Sivam searches around the town for his daughter and also meets Charles to know where Anbu is. Where did Anbu go? Did she return? What happened to her? The answers form the rest of the story.

Star Performance

Keerthi is decent with her performance. Arun Pandian is good in the emotional scenes. The real-life dad and daughter’s chemistry is fantastic and they didn’t look odd on camera.

Analysis

Gokul didn’t make any changes to the original plot and remade the film as it is. Most of the Malayalam films with some emotional connection will always go well with the Tamil audience, despite the remake. However, they didn’t find anything different, except for a couple of scenes where Kamal Haasan Kamal Haasan is the most versatile actor that Indi >> Read More... excelled. But, this might be something different with Anbirkiniyal. Although the stars couldn’t overtake Helen where “ Lal Paul Michael alias Lal started his successful jour >> Read More... ” and Anna Ben Anna Ben Nayarambalam, popularly known as Anna Ben >> Read More... pulled the audience, Keerthi and Arun had done justice to the characters given and impressed the audience. BGM is neat and the cinematography is fantastic.

Anbirkiniyal is a perfect remake that doesn’t miss anything from the original. People, who hadn’t watched Helen, would definitely stand up and appreciate Anbirkiniyal. Even though they have watched the original, they will surely say that it is a faithful remake!
