Plot
A woman is accused of double murder. Another woman has nightmares about it. How are these two connected? Who is the real killer? Will the other woman get the answers to her questions?

The only place where some kind of hard work is visible are the production values of this film.
Only the film’s production designers and the cinematographers tried their best in making this film somehow watchable.
Analysis
Ever heard of a murder mystery that has no mystery at all? If not, then welcome to the world of ‘Secret Home’. The makers of this movie claim ‘Every home has secrets’. The only secret about this movie is that there are no secrets at all!
The film is not bad as a concept. The production values are okay, and the camerawork lays the setting for an engaging crime thriller. However, when it came to execution, everything went for a toss.
This film suffers from a serious identity crisis. The writers had no clue about how to take the narrative forward, the director seemed to have no interest in making a good story. Even if they tried their best, the actors just couldn’t make up for the mess left behind by the makers. Only Aparna Das and Anu Mohan tried their best to look convincing in their roles.
The film is devoid of any thrill. It is said to be ‘based on true events’, but there is no semblance of it anywhere. The film is not very long, with the overall runtime being less than 2 hours long. But thanks to the underwhelming editing, the viewers start wondering if they did the right thing by deciding to watch this movie!
We are simply not making this up. Agreed that this is the first film of Abhayakumar K. But the least he could have done was give a simple but entertaining story, with more focus on the narrative, than on the twists and turns. Sadly, the director had no clue about which path to go ahead.

‘Secret Home’ is one of those movies that is completely opposite to what was claimed by the makers. Forget being good, the film is not even remotely entertaining. The production design and the cinematography are the only good things to remember about this otherwise forgettable movie.
