Plot
Jyothikumar is a Civil Police Officer. But he loves singing to the core. Jyothikumar is married to Nisha, and they have a daughter. His father, Kumaran, stays with them. Jyothi is always happy when he is with his Souparnika Orchestra. In a situation, he lost an important file, and was removed from his position and repositioned as a Personal Security Officer. PSOs are often seen with a flask for their principals. So, most of them are referred to as Flask. Jyothi is now appointed as the PSO to Venkidesh Balaji, the district judge. Venkidesh is a strict judge. He never smiles and maintains a distance from his subordinates. This shatters Jyothi’s singing dreams. In a turn of events, Jyothi and Venkidesh’s official car was attacked, and they were kidnapped by Maoists. They demanded that the government release one of their comrades. What happened next? Was the comrade released? The rest of the story deals with this.
Star Performance
Saiju Kurup looks good in his role, Jyothikumar, despite the underwhelming writing. It is Suresh Krishna who impresses us in the role of Venkidesh. His measured performance and dialogue delivery with a different body language for the role make us laud him. Sidharth didn’t have enough space to perform.

Analysis
The story didn’t have anything exciting. We have seen a lot of films that portray how an unlucky government official is treated. This also falls into a similar genre. None of the roles had been penned well. If Saiju’s role had been written well, it would’ve elevated his performance. The same goes for Sidharth. As his character was not written well, we are unable to feel his stories and feelings. Though Suresh Krishna’s role lacks depth, he managed to bring it up. The dialogues are not impressive when the judge, Maoist, and the PSO have a conversation. While speaking about sensitive issues, the writing should be genuine and perfect, which is missing here. Nikhil Menon crooned for Saiju. But, it didn’t suit him well. Technically, the film is sound. The visuals and BGM are good.

For the performances of Saiju and Suresh Krishna, you can try this film. But, don’t expect too much and visit the theatres!
