Preethiya Raayabhari is a Kannada language film directed by M. M. Muthu and produced by S. R. Venkatesh.

Plot

An educated and spirited man Ravi wants to do good for the society; so after finishing his masters in Agriculture, he moves to a small village so that he can help the farmers with newer and better techniques of farming. There he falls for a simple village girl, Nandini. Everything seems blissful in their life until an incident happens. Before they can achieve their happy ending, the villains appear. They assault the heroine and their dreams of living a peaceful life shatter. Soon the story turns into the one of revenge and heartbreak. Will they get their happily ever after in the end?

Analysis

The film is based on real-life events. It showcases that love cannot conquer all in real life. On the one hand, there’s genuine and innocent love, and on the other, there is power and politics. The director Muthu, has done a good job with the script. The movie connects with the audience emotionally, and that is perhaps the only positive thing about the movie. The direction is of inferior quality. The director’s idea of adding melodramatic scenes and overly comic sequences destroy the chances of the film becoming a successful hit.
