What happens when two weather-beaten men of contrasting behaviors join hands together for a common purpose? Farhan Akhtar has undergone a big scar in his life, and he happens to meet Amitabh Bachchan, who is bound to a wheelchair. In the course of time Farhan gets to know the world of Amitabh, who is also having a bad past. And the similarity between both of them is that they are trying to be in terms with their past. The cunning Wazir comes as a twist of the story.Chess has an important part to play in this movie, and you have got to watch it to find out.
Big B is just at his artistic best in this movie. The way he portrays the conviction with which he want to defeat the helpless condition that he is put up with deserves applause. Farhan Khan is just brilliant in his role that has a lot of scope in it. You tend to empathize with his loss and his eyes express a lot of emotions. Farhan and Big B share a good camaraderie throughout the portions that they appear together. Manav Kaul, as the menacing Kashmiri politician, is also a winner, when it comes to acting prowess. Aditi Rao Hydari has a minimal role, but she looks lovely in the movie. The special appearance of John Abraham is worth mentioning.
Wazir takes off on a promising note, and the audience would surely be engrossed in it. Bijoy Nambiar, the director, cashes in on the style quotient at which he is best and emerges a winner. The director doesn’t give the audience the imaginative liberty. Instead, he explains the things in a straightforward manner.
What’s not there?
Thankfully nowadays a bunch of filmmakers are breaking the stereotype and are experimenting with different genres. Wazir is no doubt an emotional film, nevertheless crafted in an intelligent manner.
