Plot
Laxman Singh Bisht, who is a feebly minded guy, is called as Tubelight by the people around him. He lives in Jagatpur along with his brother Bharat. Banne chacha imparts Laxman with the Gandhian thoughts. A local tyrant named Narayan bullies Laxman and often irritates him. Bharat works in the army. During the Sino – Indo war, Bharat moves to the border to fight for the country. Some people from China, immigrate to India. Among those people, Liling and Perky Guo move to Laxman’s town, Jagatpur. What happens after the war? Did Laxman changes his perception or continue to be the Tubelight? Watch the film on the big screen.
Star Performance
Unlike his previous action hero movies, Salman didn’t have time to showcase his biceps and fight with the villains flying in the air. Childlike performance is new to Salman Khan and he has tried out his level best. However, we could say that it didn’t suit him. Sohail Khan, Om Puri, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Zhu Zhu and Matin had done their roles perfectly.
Analysis
Kabir Khan has adapted the story from the American movie Little Boy. Kabir had showcased his best with Salman Khan, so far and this is not one among them. Zhu Zhu and Matin Rey Tang are the best choices to do the roles Liling and Perky Guo.

Verdict
For Salman fans, Tubelight might be a good movie to watch for his different role and performance. But for others, Salman’s role doesn’t sync with his physique. Many heroes had done these kinds of roles; especially the southern heroes. But the role had suited them well unlike Salman. Probably, Salman couldn’t step into the shoes of Laxman. Anyhow, the film could be watched, once
