Plot
Mamta is a woman who lives in a slum in Lucknow. She had to care for her son and her mother-in-law. She is the breadwinner for her family. She plays all the tricks for her family’s smooth running. Abhishek is a corrupt power broker. His phone was stolen at the metro station, where Mamta was working. Who stole the phone? Who blackmailed, and what was the order?
Star Performance
Divya Khossla gives an excellent performance. She is convincing in all the varieties of roles she takes as Mamta. During the intense scenes, she delivers a mature performance. Neil Nitin Mukesh fits well in the role and gives a grounded performance. Chhaya Kadam is good in her role as Mamta’s mother-in-law. Sushant Singh, Zakir Hussain, and Heli Daruwala provided the much-needed support.
Analysis
The film starts with a decent pace and travels to the point without derailing. The first half is simple and breezy. The second half has all the serious tones and twists, which help the cat-and-mouse game run on an interesting note. Mamta’s character arc is designed well. Mamta’s intentions are revealed only in the second half. However, the final reveal is predictable, as all the important twists are revealed before the climax. The visuals and editing are quite decent. The production values are okay.

The film has its own flaws, but it offers the audience an engaging drama with twists and turns. It is definitely a one-time watch!
