Plot
Adima Roy Phatak works on a graphic novel, which she finds too violent and dark. However, she continues her work as her client encourages her to bring positive content. Adima has a daughter, Vasu. Vasu’s son, Neel, visits Adima with his pet dog, Pablo. Pablo runs away and makes Adima and Neel search for it like detectives. It enters Nana Modak’s place. Nana is arrogant, but after Pablo enters his life, he becomes much fond of it. Nana has a son, Nikhil. When Adima finds Pablo with Nana, things take a different turn, as Nana starts claiming the ownership of Pablo. What happens next? The rest of the film speaks the emotional story.
Star Performance
Sharmila Tagore excels in her role as a graphic novelist, a mother, and a grandma. Mohan beautifully portrayed Nana. Jihan and Sharmila’s chemistry is excellent. Sonali and Neeraj did their roles with perfection.
Analysis
The story is simple yet heart-warming. The combination scenes between Sharmila Tagore and Jihan are wonderfully written and they live in the characters. Those scenes when they search for Pablo are so cute and impressive. Kudos to the director for a beautiful execution. However, a few subplots needed a bit more clarification. Relationship between Vasu and Dutt should’ve been written better. There are a few humorous scenes, which add a compliment to the movie’s flow. The visuals are elegant, and the BGM is fantastically scored.

Verdict
Outhouse is a beautiful film that speaks about relationships in a better way. Except for a few loopholes, the film is impressive with its script, direction, and performances.
