Plot
The plot of the movie revolves around Guddu Shukla. He is a happy going man. However, the film highlights his obsession for motorbikes. Guddu dreamed of having a motorbike since his childhood. Guddu belonged to a middle class family. He didn’t have money to buy a bike. All through his teenage he just lingered around and wasted his time by being overly obsessed with motorbikes.
However, as he grow up he got a chance to own a motorcycle. Along with the bike comes a girlfriend and her responsibility. Things were going well but suddenly his life took an unexpected turn. Guddu got involved with a mafia drug dealer. His bike got stolen by Guddu. To get his bike back he risked the lives of all his loved ones.
Star Performance
The main protagonist of the movie is Guddu Shukla. Karan Nath played the role of Guddu. In the film, Karan made a comeback after eleven years. His acting skills were top-notch. Guddu delivered a nuanced performance although his character was childish. He did handle some of the emotional scenes in the movie. Another important character is Hema. Nathalia Kaur played Hema’s role. She has delivered an impressive performance throughout the film. His presence made it more enjoyable. Vikram Singh is also one of the central characters in the film. Ganesh Venkatraman played Vikram’s role. Ganesh gave a fantastic performance in the film. His chemistry with other actors was quite impressive. Throughout the movie, Ganesh tried a lot to make the film enjoyable. The supporting cast like Zarina Wahab and Mohan Agashe delivered remarkable performances as well.
Analysis
The movie Guns Of Banaras has a great concept. The film gave vibes of 80’s and 90’s vibes. The film revolves around only one character, Guddu Shukla. The film's script is quite impressive as it stick to the real life situations. The movie also has action and thriller. The execution of the movie is excellent. It is pretty different from the other Bollywood movie due to its plot. The script is exciting and fun. Also the movies is a remake of Polladhavan. It could do a lot better than it did.
The movie’s cinematography is pretty good as it gives out the vibes of 90’s film. In addition, the filmmakers captured a detailed view of the city of Banaras. The songs used in the movie are enjoyable. They complement the script of the film. The main actors and the supporting cast gave impressive performances. The chemistry between them was good.
