Plot
The story revolves around two young boys, Avi and Shiva. Both of them live in Mumbai. They want to establish their names as the most dreadful criminals. Avi and Shiva murdered many innocent people. One of them was Pakya. The police started searching for them everywhere, but they couldn’t find Avi and Shiva. However, one of the police officer, Hemant Jogi helped them. He had different approach in dealing with dreadful criminals. He thinks that every criminal should given a chance to change and work on themselves. He gave Avi and Shiva to make themselves a better person. They leave the city to live a peaceful and healthy life without running away from anyone.
Avi gets married to Mahima. She gives birth to a boy, and they live a simple life. One day, they receive a news that their well wisher, Hemant Jogi has passed away. They fear that other police officers will catch them. Hemant’s father was an ex-commissioner. He assures them that he will try to protect them and advises them not to come back to Mumbai. Three years passed away. However, Pakya’s elder brother wanted to take revenge for his murder. He along with police officers finds out where Avi and Shiva were hiding. Fortunately, Shiva and Avi get out of this situation.
Star performance
In the film, two significant actors played the role of main characters. Sanjay Kapoor plays Avi’s character in the movie. He delivered an excellent performance. Avi’s is a perfect blend of authenticity and emotions. He captures Avi’s weaknesses as well as his strengths. The second important character is Shiva. Arya Babbar plays Shiva’s character. Shiva’s duality in his character has beautifully depicted including his charm. Arya gave a chilling performance in the film: another important character, Hemant Jog played by Sushil Singh. Hemant Jogi, ACP who, helps criminals change into better people. The supporting cast's presence proved significant for the movie. They made the film more compelling and unique.
Analysis
Mumbhaii – The Gangster has a perfect blend of drama, comedy, and action. The main cast and supporting cast have delivered fantastic performances making the film more authentic. The script of the movie is pretty realistic. Themes of fear, crime, and regret are the major focuse of the movie. The film has an intense storyline. It forms a unique story. The main focus of the film is on the perspective of criminals: Avi and Shiva.
The execution of Hemant’s character is beautiful. His character is pretty different from that of other police officers. ACP, he gave criminals a chance to change themselves. The cinematography is top-notch. The movie proved to be a comment on the workings of society in general. The cinematography played an important role in giving the message of the movie. Moreover, the soundtrack of the film is enjoyable and impressive.
