Today, we are going to talk about such a side actor, who acted in three Bollywood hit movies and some Telegu films, where he had small roles but very vital contribution. He is none but Sushil Johri. Perhaps, we all know about the Bollywood movie ‘Maine Pyar Kiya.’ It released on December 29, 1989.Sooraj R. Barjatya directed this film. Salman Khan (Prem Choudhary) and Bhagyashree (Suman) are in main roles and Dilip Joshi, Pervin Dastur and of course, Sushil Johri was in the side role. By the immense contribution of all these actors and actresses, the movie became a hit. It was Salman Khan’s debut film.He won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut in 1990 for this ‘Maine Pyar Kiya.’ And, ‘Raam Laxman’ won the same award for being the Best Music Director of the year. Let’s talk about Sushil’s second film. It was another hit one named ‘Hum Saath-Saath Hain: We Stand United (1999).’The director and writer of this movie was also Sooraj R. Barjatya. Salman Khan (Prem), Karisma Kapoor (Sapna), Saif Ali Khan (Vinod) and Tabu (Sadhana) are in the main cast. This movie won the IIFA (International Indian Film Academy Awards) award for Best Makeup. The award went to Jayant, a key makeup artist. It consists of many marvelous songs including “Mhare Hiwda Mein Nache Mor” sung by Udit Narayan. Sushil Johri acted in the movie named ‘Lal Salaam (2002).’ It was a Gaganvihari Borate’s film. It consists of several true incidents like tribes, their lifestyle, and culture. Nandita Das and Sharad S. Kapoor acted in the head role. Sushil Johri also acted in two Telegu films also.
