) near a beach sitting unconscious and brutally hurt. He does not remember anything because he was hurt badly on his head. After substantial investigation, the cops can find about him.
When they go to the place where he was staying in Goa, they found a dead body (of another friend) in the room and the other friends been gone missing. Now only Laksh was left who is a victim also and a suspect by police also. Will Ansari be able to find the missing friends, is the plot of the flick. The 48-hour long investigation done by the cops will be a boon for the city, or a curse is a suspense which the picture holds.
Analysis: Missing on a weekend is Abhishek Jawkar’s first film as a director in the Hindi cinema after directed several movies in the south. He has done an excellent job as a director and has added charisma to the flick. Based on the safety of tourists going to Goa, the story reveals the crimes undertaken by the underground mafias. After it has been passed by the censors and the Goa tourist, it released on 01 July.
Star Performances: This film marks the debut of Karan Hariharan, son of the famous singer Padmashree Hariharan in Bollywood. He plays a crucial part in the picture along with Pavan Malhotra, who is a cop in the film. Both of them acts as a protagonist in the story and there acting was appreciated a lot by the audience.
What’s there?
1. The flick marks the comeback of Shaan as a music composer.
2. It also marks the debut of Padmashree’s eldest son in the Hindi cinema as a music director.
3. From the missing of the friends to the investigation done by the cops, the picture will make the viewers fix to their chairs and see the film till the end.
What’s not there?
1. With a usual script, the movie is predictable.
2. The scenes shown are not so much intriguing.
Verdict: Missing on a weekend is an Indian thriller flick showing the recent problem faced by tourists in the city of Goa. With all those action packed and suspense scenes, the movie is like a roller-coaster ride and thus watchable.
